Welcome Back, Samreet...

"A diplomat is a man who always remembers a woman's birthday but never remembers her age." - Robert Lee Frost

What's Up?

Samreet was back yesterday from New Zealand for his holidays. That's a good news. He will be here for about 3 weeks, so whoever wants to hang with him, better do it before he goes back. So I met up with him in Bintang Plaza this afternoon. Well...we just hang around a little then we finally sat at McDonald's to have some meal. So we just talk lah, he told me lots of stuff about his life in New Zealand especially his university, the people there and many more... Yeah...Interesting!!! I wish I could study in places like that.

After an hour plus, I decided to drop by his house. Ahaha...long time didn't go there already. Wow...his dad just bought a new car! The new Honda Accord! Oh man...it's huge and awesome. It looks so luxurious too! We watched Happy Gilmore on his laptop. LOL...stupid funny comedy.

Then... it was tea time. Sam's family and I sat around the table and we have Indian tea and some cakes. I think it's the first time trying Indian tea...not bad eh! Haha... We just chit-chat talking about random stuff...blablabla... LOL...guess what? We actually did it for about 3 hours! First time having such a long conversation...

...It's dinner time! We all went to Piasau Boat Club to eat. I had this delicious 'Nasi Goreng Kampung' though it's a bit spicy for me. Besides that, I actually went to check out the gym there. Wow...it's great! Everything looks so new and shinny... After dinner, I went back to their house to get some movies. Haha...I wanna watch Hindi movies so badly, so I borrowed 2 awesome films which are Race and Jodhaa Akbar. Yeah! Got it finally after so long...

Since I have Mathematics test the next day, so I got to go off to do some revision. Ah well...guess it's a day for me already.

Sigh

"A thing well said will be wit in all languages." - John Dryden

What's up?

First of all, it's about the internet connection! It's just bad...very bad! And the worst was yesterday. You know why? It's because I can't even online, something wrong with my telephone line. Stupid crap! Luckily today it's working. Yeah! It was fine until I start to play Dota... So celaka you know, I was disconnected from the server, stupid internet connection got problem again... Crap!

Secondly... It's about Mathematics. LOL...I don't like this topic called Sequence! Although it's a cool topic with cool stuff in it but I still don't really like it. Among all the topics, I just don't like this kind of stuff. So much stuff and quite confusing...lalala... OKlah...it's still not that bad.

This!

Sweat...

Thirdly... This is bad...geram also when I wanna talk about it. The LAN subjects assignments. Shit la! The class is already so boring and now this! Assignments with hard topics and require you to write 1000 words and above...driving me nuts! Whats the use of Moral assignment especially? I wish these stuff never exists, who invented it anyways? Same for Malaysian Studies too! It's just a waste of time doing all these, as if I'm gonna tell the world about Malaysia...LOL!

Fourthly, I'm tired! I seriously do not have enough rest since college started especially when my training is still on. Everyday so busy and tired...come back home also pancet already. Maybe I should stop training so I will have more time, still reconsidering about that. On the other hand, college is fine though. Meet friends, get to know new people, eat canteen food, sometimes go Morsjaya eat roti canai, go MCC, disturb people...erm...talk rubbish. And many more craps... Ah well, that's my life!

101Lastly...Selamat Hari Gawai! Thanks for giving us extra 2 days of break!

Thomas Cup & Uber Cup 2008

Once again, China won the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup. That country is really coming up day by day. They're so powerful and winning almost every championship.

China beat South Korea 3-1 on Sunday to win the Thomas Cup men's badminton team title for the third time in a row. World number one Lin Dan put the Chinese on the road to victory with a tight opening singles win against Park Sung-hwan 10-21, 21-18, 21-8.

Lin Dan! Reaction after winning. I like this photo.

However, South Korea's doubles pair of Jung Jae-sung and Lee Yong-dae overcame Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng by 25-23, 21-16. They played really well in that match. Good attack and defense!

Great defense!

During the third game, Bao Chunlai restored China's advantage by beating Lee Hyun-il 28-26, 21-11.

Lastly, Xie Zhongbo and Guo Zhendong sealed the victory for the Chinese, defeating Lee Jae-jin and Hwang Ji-man 21-12, 19-21, 21-12.

Xie Zhongbo and Guo Zhendong...Glory!

South Korea had made it to the final for the first time in the competition's 60-year history by beating 13-times winners Indonesia 3-0 in the semi-final. That's a new record for them. Just hope they will keep it up.

Besides that, China also won the Uber Cup women's title for the sixth consecutive time on Saturday after beating Indonesia 3-0.

Xie Xingfang set the tone for China with a 21-8, 21-15 win over Maria Kristin in the first singles.
Xie Xingfang...world number one!

China took a 2-0 lead when Yang Wei and Zhang Jiewen posted a 21-15, 19-21, 21-16 doubles win over Lilyana Natsir and Marissa Vita.

Lu Lan completed the victory with a 21-12, 21-10 win over Adriyanti Firdasari in second singles match. So yeah, badminton has been conquered by China.

College Life

"A rumor is one thing that gets thicker instead of thinner as it is spread." - Richard Armour

What's Up?

A week had passed by...

Yeah, finally I'm studying. A new beginning of everything again. Well...college can be fun and boring but so far, it's still fun for me. I get to meet old friends, making new friends, learning something new and finding out more about the place. So yeah, still trying to mix around with people there.

I have a small class, only 13 students compared to some others that have 30+ and we are told that 2 more are coming but don't know when. Ahaha...easier to concentrate when the class is smaller. The lessons were fine, just that Chemistry is a bit tough for me since it's so different than what I've studied before for SPM. I'm not taking Biology since I know I suck at it and I won't be going into medicine, 4 subjects to focus are enough. Lesser subjects so the advantage is I will have longer break than those who are taking all the subjects. :-]

There's something that I don't like which are the LAN subjects. On Monday and Tuesday, I got to study Moral Studies and Malaysian Studies until 6.30pm. Erk!!! Malaysian Studies is like History...haih! I thought SPM will be the last time for those subjects but guess what?! I'm studying it all over again! Luckily it's in English and the topics are nicer. We will learn more stuff about Moral, not the moral values we memorized in SPM. For Malaysian Studies... LOL! You study how Malaysia is formed and you know what!? I study about Parameswara and Malacca again! How bad is that!? Thank God we don't have to study this forever, just for 7 weeks. Phew...

Basically the population here is small since it's a small place and not-so-famous college. The cafeteria is kinda nice though, free Wi-Fi and there are actually quite a numbers of varieties of food. So won't be eating to same thing all the time...ahaha! The price are so-so, maybe slightly expensive than other places outside. Actually, I've only eaten there once. I normally join some friends to eat at Morsjaya, LOL...'roti canai' shop is the best! There is a Cyber Cafe over there too; I went there to play once since my break was long. Ahaha...not really a good thing to do actually.

I joined the Riam Badminton Competition which started today. It took place in the school's basketball court. That place is seriously bad, bad lighting, bad floor and the worst is the place is not sealed, so much wind. That really spoiled my mood; I just felt it's a waste of time by playing in that condition. However, luckily it was a double knockout, means that you will only be eliminated if you lose 2 games. I lost 1 game in the morning, lots of mistakes and was not really warmed up but I won 2 games in the afternoon. The competition will be continued on Wednesday again. My foot is also worn out, as you see in my previous post. So, I just have to give my best. So we'll see then...

That's all about me and my college life. Fun, boring, interesting, suck, exciting, lame...LOL...whatever!
