Perspective

It doesn't matter what the condition is, is how you view the condition that matters.
It's not the facts in your life that matters, it's the interpretation of the facts.

Dare To Be Great

I'm gonna show you how great i am

Last night i cut the light off my bedroom
Hit the switch within the bedrooms

I'm gonna show you how great i am

Only last week I've murdered a rock
Injured a stone
Hospitalized a brick
I'm so mean I make medicine sick

I'm gonna show you how great i am

This kid is gonna be the best kid in the world
This kid's gonna be somebody better than anybody I ever knew

I'm gonna show you how great i am

I’ve wrestled with alligators,
I’ve tussled with a whale.
I done handcuffed lightning
And throw thunder in jail

I'm gonna show you how great i am

Somewhere along the line, you changed
You stopped being you
You let people stick a finger in your face
And tell you you're no good
And when things got hard
You started looking for something to blame
Like a big shadow
Let me tell you something you already know.
The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows.
It is a very mean and nasty place
And I don't care how tough you are
It will beat you to your knees
And keep you there permanently if you let it.

You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life.
But it ain't about how hard ya hit;
it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward.
How much you can take, and keep moving forward.

That's how winning is done.

Now, if you know what you're worth,
then go out and get what you're worth.
But you gotta be willing to take the hits,
and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody.
Cowards do that and that ain't you.
You're better than that!

Our deepest fear is not that we are an inadequate
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure

It is our light, not our dark that most frightens us.
Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people don't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine as children do.
Its not just in some of us; its in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsiously give other people to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Our deepest fear is not that we are an inadequate
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure

I'm gonna show you how great i am

Live With Greatness!

"You must show no mercy,
nor have any belief whatsoever
in how others judge you...
For your GREATNESS will silence them all."

21 Lessons/Things I Learned

A wonderful & blessed 21th birthday today.

Looking back from the beginning till now. Looking at my baby photo and as years passes I began to grow bigger and stronger till what I am today. I'm truly satisfied!

Argh!!!

So here are to top 20 things/lessons I learned. Looking forward to the next two decades, wondering what I'll get again.
You're welcome to leave your comments below about the ones you like or whatever. Hehe...

1. Jesus Christ - the definition of love and the reason we live.

2. Love your God. Love your neighbour. Get them right, that’s it!

3. Trust and acknowledge God. He’s your only hope and will never forsake you.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” – Jeremiah 29:11-13

4. Cultivate the fruit of the Spirit.
“…the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control…” – Galatians 5:22-23

5. Love, Forgive and give Hope to others.
Don’t worry, it’s a lifetime process. There are plenty of opportunities.

6. Give and don't expect a return. I meant give with a cheerful heart :D

7. If you ain’t doing good to anybody, stop living =)
Don’t make people miserable and learn to shut up if you have nothing nice to say. Learn to tell someone how important they are and appreciate their presence in your life. Do not be weary in doing good, continue and there will be a time to reap the good harvest.

8. Life is full of choices, if you have the guts to go for it.
It is meant to be beautiful and colourful. Be the special breed of human being that choose to live the life to the fullest. You are the light that shine. Live the life and inspire others to live too. Keep fighting for your goals and inspire others to live their dreams.
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” - Matthew 5:14-16

9. Action speaks louder than words.
Think before you speak, words cannot be taken back. You just got to fulfill after it is said. You know, trust has to be earned and you know the consequences if you lose it.

10. Max out 100% everyday, any reason to save?
You ain’t going to bed till you PAY YOUR DUES! Learn as much. Don’t pass each day without gaining anything. You got to live today better than yesterday, same goes for tomorrow.

11. Success? Make it happen, whatever it takes. Define clearly the purpose before you start anything. Decide, Plan, Do. BANG!
Work when everyone else is still sleeping and you'll be ahead. Hard work pays off! "The difference between the people doing it and the people not doing it, is that the people doing it are doing it." – Jim Smith

12. Know what you are doing and stay focused. Don’t give up easily and learn to be patient.
If everything is easy, everyone will be the same. Think the people who changed or contributed to the world such as Newton, Edison, Wright brothers, Einstein, Steve Jobs and you name it…

13. Stop worrying what people say/think about you. It’s not gonna get you anywhere.
Sometimes it just shows they’re weak and trying to bring someone down when they don’t succeed. We all know the saying… “Ah well, haters gonna hate anyways.” But then, do remember the 5th point.

14. Unleash the power of the subconscious mind.
Know your strength and weaknesses. Make full use of what you got. Think and speak positive. Your thoughts will eventually come into reality. Weaknesses can be converted into strength. Surround yourself with positive people that will bring you up. Visualize yourself on how you want to be. Smile and laugh often, you will look more like a optimistic person. Believe me, you will find strength when you need it.

World through your eyes.

15. Don’t see a weakness as it is, see it as an opportunity to take yourself one step higher.
Others will see your weaknesses better than yourself. Dare to receive critics or advices. If it’s right, +1. Otherwise, forget about it and move on… remember the 13th point. Humbleness is hard to learn. Ego, get a timeout once in a while :)

16. Stop making a fuss about everything, especially on what you don’t have.
Don’t be jealous of others, be motivated and inspired instead. Learn to appreciate and realise that you have more than you think. Reflect on the little things and know that you are truly blessed than many.

17. When you reached your goal, ask yourself again, ”what kind of person have I become?” It’s the character that is built in you that matters and will last. That is true success, being a jerk doesn’t count.

18. Bear necessity.
Simplicity, less is sometimes more. You don’t need everything to live, filter out the trash and nonsense.

19. Fitness is a lifetime commitment, divorce is not an option. It’s more than a hobby, it’s a lifestyle. Train like there is no finish line. Been there, done that with no regrets.

20. Squat & Deadlift. The king of all exercises.
I don’t mean do it whenever you feel like. Do it all the time and go HEAVY. Master those if you’re serious about pumping iron, or else you will be never ready for the better. It’s more than just a physical activity but about building a character, developing mental toughness. Many say that they’re difficult. Exactly the point! If you can’t, you must! Life is about getting up when a heavy load brings you down. It’s all about the strength to overcome obstacles. Do that and be better in life.

21. Lastly, treasure your life as you only live once. Treasure each moment as it only happens once. Be thankful and grateful always.

I'm longing to be freed!

Heading Back

Heya! Somehow I think I've abandoned this blog badly. Said to myself that I will blog at least once a week but obviously it didn't happened. Spent most of my time on Facebook actually which I only created 3 months ago. LOL!

Summer break is coming to an end, which means a new academic year is coming ahead. This would be in second year. Yes, it means harder, tougher, busier BUT at the same time as life goes on, I believe it would be a wonderful and beautiful year ahead...by God's grace.

I really enjoyed this summer as it was a fruitful one. I learnt a lot, developing myself in terms of my mind, body and spirit. The 3 that cannot be separated as it affects one another somehow. As I grow, I learn. As we grow older each day, we got to learn something each day. It can be anything, just don't go to bed not knowing anything new.

Here are few things which I've learnt/went through...

1. Air conditioning systems - Did my intern with a air-cond company. So going around repairing it's the kind of thing I do. Basically, I learn as I do. At least I would say I can troubleshoot a split unit now.

2. Finance - I learn about how global financial system works. Also, trying to find a way to earn passive income. I don't wanna drag myself to work each day because of money though. I control money and not otherwise! Now this is really an eye-opening knowledge, will be going to it deeper. It's good to realize early before it's too late. Basically, we're heading to death sentence!

3. Fitness - I need not mention it is something I'm so passionate about in life. Ever since I started end of 2008, it never stops, it became a part of me. Each day getting stronger and I'm coming back leaner! I also enjoy coaching my friends. It's a pleasure to do so and I just feel happy when they show results. It's more than just a physical thing I would say, it builds a person character. Until you get yourself in it, you just don't feel it.

4. Self-development - From the previous point, which leads to this. Different people gets their motivation from different sources. As for me, it's through fitness. I live each day better than before, tomorrow will be better than today. I will portray myself as an optimistic person. I will always look at the beautiful side of things. I believe I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I will live the best of myself each day! If I can't do it, I must. You know... this sort of stuff. Haha!

5. Family - Yes, the family time =)

6. Spiritual Food - Now without this I'm dead too. Okay, I did a study on the book of Revelation. Yes it's a tough book but it's important to get the idea of it. As we look at the situation of the world today, it just paints the picture so well. We're already on that path, just the matter of time and we'll reach the end. As I look at the news each day, it makes perfect sense that it is near. This leads me to another question, am I ready?
