Our Malaysian men's singles and women's singles had cleared their early rounds. However, our women's doubles are already out.
Lee Chong Wei, as the 2nd seed for the Olympic Games beat Ronald Susilo with a straight set of 21-13, 21-14. He will proceed his journey tomorrow against Naviskas Kestutis(Lithuania). I personally think he won't be a treat to him.
As for our women's singles, we have Wong Mew Choo. She did well in her first 2 matches, guess it was not a problem to her. Her next match will be on Wednesday and a tough one I suppose, she is going to face the 3rd seed, Lu Lan(China). Just hope that she could be consistant in her strokes and avoid unforced errors.
So, what about our men's doubles? They will be starting tomorrow!
Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong will be facing the Japanese, Sakamoto Shuichi/Ikeda Shintaro.
Whereas Lee Wan Wah/Choong Tan Fook will be against the Korean pair, Lee Jaejin/Hwang Jiman. All the best to them! Hope they won't be an upset to us this time.
Talking about upsets, today the biggest upsets to me was the China pair for women's doubles. Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen(China) was defeated by Miyuki Maeda/Satoko Suetsuna(Japan). They are the 1st seed for the game and they're already out in the early game. Haha...I hope that Choong Tan Fook(Zhang Jiewen's boyfriend) will be not be distracted by this.
Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium
This new building was specially built for the Olympic Games. I really like this building, the design is nice and the interior looks great! Perfect place for a badminton match. Haha!
