After 16 Days...

... the 2008 Beijing Olympic has come to an end. In this 16 days, many events were held, World Records and Olympic Record were broken, an historical event that only happens only once every 4 years. Tonight was the closing ceremony, bet many of you were watching. It was great but not as great as the opening ceremony I think. Overall it's just awesome and magnificant!

For the most gold medal count, it goes to China with 51 gold medals followed by USA with 36. For the most medal achieved, it goes to USA with 110 medals followed by China with 100 medals! At least we managed to get a silver medal this time, the 12 years Olympic medal drought has ended. No more going home empty handed :)

However, the next Olympic will be held in London, UK. That will be in 4 years time, I'm looking forward to it, hope it won't be too long to wait.

Olympic Legend - Michael Phelps

For those who watch the Olympic Games and especially for the swimming events, I'm sure you will know who is this.

Michael Phelps

6ft 4 in (1.93 m)

200 pounds (91 kg)

He is also one of the legend in Olympics. Winning 8 golds in all the events his participated in this Olympic Games. Not just that, 7 World Record and 1 Olympic Record were broke by him this time. So basically you can say he is holding the records for these events. 8 hours of training, 7 days a week in order to achieve this results! I can actually imagine how much effort he put in just for this OG. That's really amazing.

This combination of photos shows United States' Michael Phelps holding each of his eight gold medals after (top, left to right) the 400m individual medley, 4 x 100m freestyle relay, 200m freestyle, 200m butterfly, (bottom, left to right) 4 x 200m freestyle relay, 200m individual medley, 100m butterfly and the 4x100-meter medley relay at the Beijing 2008 Olympics.

Breakfast: Three fried-egg sandwiches loaded with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, fried onions and mayonnaise. Two cups of coffee. One five-egg omelet. One bowl of grits. Three slices of French toast topped with powdered sugar. Three chocolate-chip pancakes.
Lunch: One pound of enriched pasta. Two large ham and cheese sandwiches with mayo on white bread. Energy drinks packing 1,000 calories.
Dinner: One pound of pasta. An entire pizza. More energy drinks.

Anyways, this is the shocking part...his daily 12000 calories diet! Wow! Can you imagine how much food is that? It's like eating 31 packets of instant noodles a day. A person who eats that much a day will definitely get a stomach ache. What about Michael Phelps? He eat that much everyday and still able to maintain his body shape. Come to think about it, with 8 hours of vigorous exercise a day is enough to burn all his calories.

NOTE: Don't Try It At Home :)

So Near Yet So Far

It's 8.45pm, my heart starts to beep faster... Finally the time has come, it's the men's single final match between Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei and China's Lin Dan.

Lin Dan totally outplayed Lee Chong Wei today. He won with a straight set 21-12, 21-8. Lin Dan was really a 'Super Dan' today, he got the speed, power, confidence, determination and he deserved the win. He was on fire tonight, giving no chance to Chong Wei. He was so fierce during the match, his smashes were deadly and excellent net shots. However, Chong Wei's defence and net skill failed him miserably tonight. I was not disappointed that Chong Wei lost but I'm disappointed at his game play. He tend to do a lot of mistakes, he was not at his best tonight whereas Lin Dan was like Dragon Ball.

On the bright side... we finally got a medal, no more going home empty-handed. A silver medal for men's singles, it's the best record so far for us in the OG. Besides that, Chong Wei will also receive a RM300,000 reward from the government. Chong Wei did show a good sportsmanship, I'm still proud of him. He showed his fighting spirit, I hope he will not lose his spirit and continue his journey on other championships. He will always be the best player in my heart!

Super Dan

Bang!

Salute!

Dragon Ball

Congratulations!
